Two years ago this came out of the compost pile at the Laking Garden at the Royal Botanical Gardens. Just the tiniest little piece of rhizome and one leaf. I had to tie it to the earth and weigh it down with a rock to get it to root that first year. This is the first time it as bloomed. Very pretty! A pale blue-silvery (and purple! of course!) with pale yellow in the falls.
Anyway.
I tend to get very excited when a new flower blooms.
