mum

Yesterday she called him dad, instead of dada.
Today I am mum. Not mama.
She's only 4.5 and this seems too young to have decided to start saying mum.

I would have liked to have been mama a little while longer.

Oh, that's such a big change. My oldest started calling me "Mom" a little while ago. Now his little brothers are doing the same thing. It doesn't sound right for my 2 year old to call me "Mom". It's been a few months and it still gets me.

Hi, Ashley... just found your blog! Duh! :) Anyways... if it makes you feel better (or not!), my kids are 12 and 15 and I still miss "Mommy"! :)

I know how you feel. My daughter started calling me Mom when she was 5 and it just seemed too young then too.

Awww, that is kinda sad. A real transition for sure. But if it's any consolation - I am sure mama will still come out - when she is tired or particularly in need of hugs and kisses. :)
