and the yo-yo went down, down, down

she rummages around the bottom of the toy box and finds the
beat up
old
green wooden yo-yo
with the worn paint
and knot in the string
and she pleads
pleeeeese
wind up!
and narrates as
the strings goes
around, around,
around,
around
and around,
and when the string is wound
as far as it will go,
all the way to the end,
around and around,
she carefully takes the
old
green wooden yo-yo
with the worn paint
and knot in the string
and holds the loop delicately in
her two chubby fingers,
and with a little twinkle
in her eye,
and a little smile on her face,
she counts
2! 8! 10! yo-yo!
and she drops that
old
green wooden yo-yo
with the worn paint
and knot in the string
and she watches in fascination
as it falls down,
down,
down
and hits the floor
with a rackety clatter
of wood hitting wood
and she laughs
and then runs off with the
old
green wooden yo-yo
with the worn paint
and knot in the string
trailing behind her,
banging with a rackety clatter
bouncing through the house,
at the end of the string
with the knot in it.

The image of the girl with the yo-yo makes me smile :) It takes so little to make a child exude happiness :)

How are ya doing?
