free lift

The Freestyle girls have started posting challenges over at the Freestyle Blog, and our first challenge was from Marilyn Healey -- a challenge to scraplift one of the layouts from the Freestyle book.

It took me a very long time to settle on one layout to lift and in the end I chose Marilyn's layout "Completion of the Sixth Grade" from p. 56 as it had caught my eye in the advertisements for Freestyle many times.. I loved the red paint, the postage stamps, and the white text/colour fill journalling block.


So I used those three things listed above as my inspiration for this layout about when Addie Blue learned to clap. I backed my journalling block onto a piece of thick chipboard, covered with matte gel, and then stamped the remaining journalling over top.
