new kitty welcome

Yesterday after speech therapy we all went to the SPCA and a couple of hours later we were on our way home with our new miss kitty. We have never, ever gone to a rescue or pet store to choose a new cat -- all of the cats we have ever had have all had an interesting way of choosing us, we have always taken in strays and homeless kitties, but our house was way too empty without Mr. Max and for months now we had been saying we needed a second cat after Gus' passing last summer... and so we decided to adopt a kitty from the SPCA.

It was a very difficult choice! How can you not want to take each and every one of those adorable cats home?

But this sweet girl just called to me.

She still doesn't have a name, but she is just the sweetest little thing. She is affectionate and adoring and after a brief exploration of our house last night was ready to cuddle up beside me or on my lap for some good loving. She seems to purr constantly and is a good kneader.

She is a happy cat.

and she has the longest, most delicate little ballet toes.

Still trying to figure out what her name might be.

Beautiful kitty! Why not name her twinkle-toes or pirouette (sp?).

Cute Pliah', too bad she is not a he.....Stash (moustache) seems fitting cause of the cute markings. Don't you just love sleeping kitties ;)
