shine

she wears her day
like a halo
around her,
around her
things are bright
and they start to glow,
grow real bright,
hot like white
she's phosphorescent,
incandescent,
and everything about her is
just so light,
she's so light,
she's light-hearted
and in her light steps
dancing through her day
lights my day;
she wears her heart,
splendid nimbus,
luminescent,
iridescent,
for all to see,
oh how it shines,
blazing gently.
