Yet another first day of school layout from last year! Looking back a year and a bit later, Addie Blue looks so young, but I remember how grown up and big she felt that day, in her cute outfit and that big back pack.
I was so excited to find all of the new Dear Lizzy by American Crafts product at my LSS a few weeks ago! It was the first time I'd seen them in person. I LIKED them when I saw them online, but LOVED them in person!
Here I used some of the floral Dear Lizzy patterned paper, tags, the sequin trim, and cut out several blocks from one of the multi-patterned sheets. I used the small blocks up in the bows, for a folded accent beside the title, and behind the title to make a journalling pocket.
I stuffed ruffled tissue fringe under the cream cardstock. Love the delicate texture of this trim. I used that fab Dear Lizzy sequin trim to tie a bow under the title, and then pulled some individual sequins from the trim to sprinkled around and under the photo.
Lots more bows up top! And a Dear Lizzy tag tucked in there, too. The turquoise measuring tape is trimmed from a sheet of Dear Lizzy patterned paper, and tucked in with a turquoise grosgrain bow.
The title is American Crafts glitter Thickers, and is embellished with a Dear Lizzy gold sequin bow. All placed on one of those cute Dear Lizzy tags!
Journalling is tucked behind the title block, on a scallop-punched tag with a paper tab cut from Dear Lizzy paper.
Close up of the gold sequins, and a little peek at the pink tissue trim.
Supplies: cardstock (Recollections); patterned paper (American Crafts); tags (American Crafts, Avery); letter stickers (American Crafts); punches (Martha Stewart doily lace and photo corner); straight pins (Ditz); trim (American Crafts); ribbon (misc); photo corners (Canson)
