8 & so great

This layout was the combination of many inspirations....
...Marcy's ombre weekly challenge at 2Peas
...Glitter Girl's crepe paper challenge
...to use some more wonderful Crate Paper Little Bo Peep collection.

I remembered I had packages of thin crepe paper streams in ombre type colourways, so I used the greens and blues, along with regular width white crepe paper. Then I matched up this great sheet of Crate Paper patterned paper from Little Bo Peep to go with the colours. I love that this collection can be used for sweet little baby girls, but also for sweet big girls, too!

I tied bows from crepe paper and set them in a row. The centres of the bows are embellished mostly with Crate Paper Little Bo Peep brads, and Pretty Party buttons. The colours matched my crepe paper perfectly, like it was meant to be. The bows originally started out on top of the frame, but when I was lifting things from the page to adhere other layers, I set the frame on top of the bows and liked the way it looked better. Happy accident.

The aqua glitter Little Bo Peep Thickers are so awesome. Such a pretty colour, and you can see above just how glittery they are.

Bows!

I used cut-off strips in two ways on this page. The top strip I box-folded and then adhered down so it remained folded and dimensional. Then I used the piece I cut off of the background patterned paper, and adhered it using pop dots to give some dimension. Even though it is the same pattern as the background, the aqua scallop and pop dots help it not get lost on the background.

Three colours of splats here.... dark dark blue, medium inky blue, and light aqua.

This frame was one of the very first Crate Paper products I purchased, although I do not remember which collection it was from. It has been sitting in my box of frames for several years, and was perfect for this page.

Had to sneak a bit of neon yellow tape on this page! Just a big sticking from under the frame corner. The striped tape is from the multipack of neon yellow tapes by Heidi Swapp and is currently one of my most-used products. It is quite transparent, which means depending on what it is adhered to, it can be either very subtle or very bold. Love it!

Love plain shipping tags and no page feels complete without them. I love the way the misting ink is slightly transparent so the dictionary page text is just a tiny bit visible through the splats. This colour was Robot Blue by October Afternoon.

Supplies: patterned paper (Crate Paper); letter stickers (Crate Paper); shipping tags (Avery, the Paper Studio, the Paper Company); ink (October Afternoon); die cut (Crate Paper); buttons (Crate Paper); brads (Crate Paper, My Mind's Eye); tape (Heidi Swapp, Bella Blvd); date stamp (American Crafts); stamping ink (Studio G); photo corners (Canson).
