finally. he was old enough.

This layout was inspired by Wilna's sketch for the weekly challenge. I interpretted the circles as ink splatters, and the block of text as the alphabet washi tape. I changed the arrangement of the title and the text block (washi tape on my page) because this worked better with my photos.

The photos are of the first time my dad fed Lady Bon-Bon. He was really excited when she started eating solid food, and asked when he would be old enough to feed the baby. :) Finally, he was old enough.

I had a really hard time finding products to work with these photos because of the colours. I thought this piece of yellow woodgrain paper with the aqua undertones by Authentique worked really well. The colour-corrected photos were much too garish because the pink and aqua in them were very loud!
Also finally used this alphabet washi tape from Cosmo Cricket! I feel so relieved when I use a product that has been sitting untouched for a while.

These awesome bronzy-gold glitter Thickers came in a multi-pack from Winner's (like TJ Maxx/Homegoods in the US). Love them! I have a mail sorter on my desk that I keep new products in, so I can see them and try to use them. I would not normally have immediately thought about using old glitter letters on this page, but I happened to see them while I was pulling supplies and arranging the photos on the page, and loved the way they all looked together. Sometimes those nearly-random pairings work so well together!

Ink! Ink! Tape!
Supplies: patterned paper (Authentique); letters (American Crafts); tape (Cosmo Cricket, Tim Holtz); photo corners (Canson); ink (Ranger).
