instant love

This big sister fell in love with her little sister the very minute they met.

This page is based on Amy's sketch for the October Afternoon blog. I took the idea of lining the elements up along the side of the page, and moved my main pieces to the very bottom edge, and the title to the very top edge.
Love this paper from OA Cakewalk - it is called Paper Straws. My sister bought 8 sheets of this, and I'm wishing I had done the same. So much fun, even though it is so simple. I like the movement that diagonal lines create as a background.

I used the back (patterned only) side from a Sidewalks journalling card, and layered all sorts of stuff under it. A scrap of an old book page, some packaging from OA Tidbits, a couple of tags, a heart punchie, and a Tidbit tab (I think that one is from Cakewalk). Love October Afternoon labels and Mini Market stickers! Totally in my top go-to products.

I tied a bow out of a strip of October Afternoon patterned paper and filled the space beneath it with dictionary page confetti. The date tab is another piece from a Cakewalk Tidbit pack.

More heart punchies!

Supplies: patterned paper (October Afternoon); letter stickers (October Afternoon); labels (October Afternoon); die cuts (October Afternoon); journalling cards (October Afternoon); photo corners (Canson); punches (Martha Stewart, Recollections, Fiskars); tags (the Paper Company, the Paper Studio); pen (Sakura).
