laying it out: procession on a dead leg
layout process video

Ruby Sky has the funniest little baby crawl. She has always dragged one leg behind her, and even though she can now walk she still does the dead leg crawl. We even use it as a verb -- "she dead-legged it over here".

I used some of my favourite Jenni Bowlin Studios products on this page. The perforated figure paper is one of my faves -- I've bought one each time I've ordered online, so I think I'm up to three now. The birdland paper behind the perforated paper is so, so cute; I love vintage bird images. I felt pretty bad covering it all up, but I do have a back-up sheet. Also used my Jenni Bowlin blue ribbon punch.
.

Here you can see the photo corner punched from the blueprint paper included on the mini sheet patterned paper, in the top left corner. Both of the fair ribbon embellishments were from the Jenni Bowlin blue ribbon punch, and I added an extra punched circle on top with a pop dot.

Date stamp via the Dear Lizzy roller date stamp. The dictionary page used on this layout was left-over from another project, my mixed media mini album. I stuck it to the book cover in wet gesso, then lifted it off, and it has paint and some small tears in it as a result. I slipped a piece of blue print mini paper under the tears for a fun little peek-a-boo detail. The neon yellow photo corners were punched from white cardstock that I inked with Hero Arts neon yellow ink pad.

Lots of inky splatters at the bottom!

And, here is how I made this layout, from start to finish!

patterned paper (Jenni Bowlin Studios); punches (Jenni Bowlin Studios, Martha Stewart); misting ink (October Afternoon, Ranger); labels (Jenni Bowlin Studios); letter stickers (Heidi Swapp, Making Memories); stamping ink (Hero Arts, Recollections); tags (Ranger); photo corners (Canson); chipboard (Basic Grey); staple (Tim Holtz).

Goodness, these videos must take you an age to edit - not that I'm complaining, as they are very inspirational....! Love the LO - and, well, you and JBS, a match made in heaven ;)

Very nice, love that the one blue splatter looks exactly like the pinking of the JBS award badge punch. You also make me want to pull out my old dictionary and rip it up! TFS!!

I appreciate the videos you make...please keep them coming! You have a pleasant voice for narration - very easy going.
Great LO! I also like how the yellow photo corners pick up a bit of yellow in Ruby Skie's outfit.

BTW, you have the most creative and memorable names for your girls. You've been MIA for a few years, but I remembered their names bc, they are poetic in a sense.
