call to action: tell FB we don't approve of domestic violence!

I have recently learned about a disgusting Facebook page: Jokes About Domestic Violence. It contains nothing but jokes making fun of abused women. These jokes are not only offensive, but continue to support domestic violence against women as they glorify the role of the male abuser and portray abuse in a positive, "humorous" light. Please go to the FB page linked above (and don't read the jokes if you find abuse offensive!), and report the page to FB. Ask for it to be removed.

Facebook will likely reply saying that they will not remove the page because they don't believe it violates their Rights and Responsibilities terms. However, I believe we all have the responsibility to stand up against domestic violence and say that women have the RIGHT not to be abused!

These are some relevant terms from Facebook's Rights and Responsibilities page:

3. Safety7.You will not post content that: is hate speech, threatening, or pornographic; incites violence; or contains nudity or graphic or gratuitous violence.
Does this mean Facebook considers jokes aimed at making fun of abused women and that glorify/demonstrate male abusers to contain an acceptable, non-gratuitous level of violence?

This is disturbing that FB allows it! I reported it, and hopefully it will be removed.

smcl: how to report it? Next to the 'like' button there's a gear icon. Click the gear ant it will give you a drop down menu....select 'report page'.
