love this

This layout was inspired by a 2Peas CHA Social Challenge: to play with three trends. I used three of my favourite trends: neon, gold, and woodgrain.
Love this happy happy photo of Lady B. She was such a jubilant little thing! She still is. :)

I used one of my favourite patterned papers for the background -- the backside of Little Moments Lane, from Dear Lizzy 5th and Frolic. I cut a mask and splattered the big heart with neon pink paint.

I wrote the title in Mod Podge and then covered liberally with fine gold glass glitter. Once dry I tapped it off. It just sparkles in person! And you have got to know by now that I just love neon pink and gold together. :)

I punched some bows out of that awesome quatrefoil pattern from the On Trend 6x6 pad by Crate Paper. I really like the way this mustard gold colour complements the metallic golds I used on the page. Here you can see a few drops of my most-used mist, Gold Lame Color Shine by Heidi Swapp. I may need an intervention soon!

And, more gold and more glitter! This time I punched wee bows out of gold foil cardstock (there are more on the top left of the page, if you look at the full layout at the top of this post). I used chunky gold glitter on a chipboard banner piece. I added a banner folded from bright pink glitter tape by American Crafts.

I really like combining different golds on the same page. Here I've used two different glitters -- a fine glass glitter, and a chunky shinier glitter, gold mist, gold washi tape, gold foil bows, and gold foil photo corners. While maybe two of these different golds would clash on the same page, the combination of the different tones and finishes works very well together. Plus, because each one has a different sparkle and shine, they catch the light differently and are visible on the page under different angles and lights. So, if you aren't sure about adding some gold to your page, dive right in and go for more instead of less! I always say, less is sometimes more, excepting for when more is more!
