I have two long skinny boxes I bought at a junk shop, that are divided inside. My project last weekend was to get all of my die cuts I've spread all over my scrapbooking space, and sort them by type.
I put vintage tart tins inside the wooden trays, and sorted the die cuts by image/type.
It isn't perfected yet and needs some more work, but here is the general idea.
My tins include themes like: hearts, stars, banners, speech bubbles, arrows, frames, tickets, birds/butterflies, misc icons (for stuff like trees, cameras, crowns). I stood all of my journalling cards up in the slots in the back of the tray.
I have a second tray (not pictured) that is longer than the one shown above, and has larger divisions inside. I've used that for long border strips, and oversize die cuts, plus extra ephemera pieces.
