belated... but, JBS Mercantile February 2013 kit layouts

I really enjoyed the February 2013 JBS Mercantile kits! So pretty this month, full of pinks and a little bit of blue and green. I bought three: the paper crafting kit, the artisan add-on, and always my personal favourite, the antiquarian add-on. These kits are so amazing, and I have no idea how Jenni finds such great vintage pieces to include!!

Loved the Pebbles self-adhesive sequins that came with the kit! I added some more of my own, too. The feather stamp for the arrow is a JBS exclusive -- I've had a lot of fun with this one. The little brown tickers placed half under the title are one of those great vintage items Jenni always manages to include in her kits.

I used the JBS exclusive cut file to cut out a text patterned paper feather for behind the photo, and used the left over "negative" space/feather stencil as a guide for watercolour painting a neon pink feather for behind the title. I painted the red Thickers included in the kit gold, with Martha Stewart acrylic paint.

Again, I used the exclusive JBS feather stamps on this page -- two different ways. I added the patterned one to a stick and tied with a piece of string to make a simple embellishment. I used the solid feather stamp, added matte gel and gold glass glitter, and tucked under the photo at the top of the page.

This one is about how Ruby Sky learned to say "ta-ta" (roughly, means please), via cheesie bribery from my mom!

I used the vintage perforated ticket and lovely vintage metal bookplate from the Antiquarian add-on for this page. Also made a couple of extra feathers to go with the stamped JBS feather, to make a bouquet!

I logged in to JBS to see your LOs in the galleryand they weren't there! So pleased to see them here. The last one is one of the most perfect things I've seen in a long time! As ever, I'm off to scrap now, totally inspired by your LOs!!!!!

Love love love the neon pink feather behind the title on the ring-stacking layout! Such a stunning colour, and great use of the negative cut! x
