Cocoa Daisy April kit reveal

This month's kits at Cocoa Daisy are full of springy goodness, with sunshine yellows and rain cloud blues and  green like the new growth in a garden. I especially appreciated these happy colours, as it is STILL snowing here. Not enough to cover the ground and make the cold "worth it", just enough so it isn't spring and feels like winter will never end.

Here is the main kit, Forecast:

Add-on 1, Bumbershoot:

Add-on 2, Wellies:

And, I think one of my very favourite products from this month's kits is this amazing constellation stamp

So far, I've made three layouts with these awesome kits, but have plans for so many more!

The I.S.S was here is a mixed media layout. I used the grid patterned Jillibean Soup paper from Bumbershoot and layered the mixed media over top. I made a hole in my page for a little "ISS" made out of a Basic Grey candy dot to show through! The text photo corners are from the Teresa Collins photo corners, also included in Wellies.
This photo is of Summer Lily and I standing in our front yard at 6:30 a.m. last November, waiting for the International Space Station to appear in the sky. :)

I love these Amy Tangerine woodgrain Thickers!!!

Lots of mixed media layers showing here! I used the Cocoa Daisy star cut file and my Cameo to cut stars out of the paper before I started the mixed media layers. Check out the Cocoa Daisy blog later this month for a process video on how to make this mixed media background!

Next up, Addie Blue, Official Brownie, featuring Addie Blue at the end of her Brownie enrollment ceremony.
I used lots of layering pieces here... a brown trefoil cut from Elle's Studio paper, grosgrain ribbon, a paper bag and a glassine bag used in the kit packaging this month, the card from the Jillibean Soup die cut packaging, a Jillibean Soup polaroid die cut and label. I used the backside of one of the round die cuts from the kit to sketch and paint my own little Brownie "badge".

Instead of journalling I typed out part of the enrollment ceremony... same words we said back when I became a Brownie, forever ago!!

Of course, I had to add a little gold glitter to at least one of my projects this month. ;)

And last layout (for now), R&D, reader and designer. This one is about Summer Lily sending in a drawing into a magazine call/design contest. She has quite a personal dislike for random drawing based contests, and gets very eager and excited to participate in anything merit-based. ;)

I really loved this green striped ribbon from the main kit this month, and decided to showcase it by making it into a large bow, and using the tail to divide the two sides of my layout.

The package of Jillibean Soup die cuts included in Wellies is so versatile and packed with useful little pieces! The little banners/labels/tabs on this page were all from the pack.

Had to include this little kraft Maya Road envie on this page about mail. ;)
