Cocoa Daisy sketch challenge

Stephanie has posted yet another great sketch on the Cocoa Daisy blog. Please come by and play along... and you don't have to use a Cocoa Daisy kit for a chance to win!

Here is my take on the sketch. I kept pretty true to the sketch design this time... and I used more of the great August Cocoa Daisy kits for this page!

I used the Fancy Pants aqua woodgrain paper from the London patterned paper add-on. I made a glaze out of matte gel with a tiny bit of white gesso added, and coated the paper with it, to just soften the colour a tiny bit, to make sure the photos really popped off the page. Love the contrast of that soft pastel aqua with the hot pink jammies and orange bows!

I used the Cocoa Daisy "You Are My Happy Place" banner stamp and made a Silhouette cut file to cut out this banner for the title. The burlap Thickers are included in the Calcutta add-on, and I painted them with a bit of gesso.

Loved loved loved this set of Fancy Pants buttons from the Hong Kong add-on! So awesome. I tied them with white thread, gold thread, or neon pink twine.

I set some of the pieces with enamel dots leftover from previous Cocoa Daisy kits. I love keeping my kit leftovers together and pulling it out as my special reserve stash for when I'm working with a kit and need an extra little something to finish a page. I feel like I get so much more mileage out of my kit by doing this kind of "kit diving".

This is my kind of sketch! I love what you've done with it.
