around here: new year, new organization

After Christmas, my scrapbook room was a disaster. A really sad and scary disaster. I had taken apart a bookshelf full of supplies before Christmas, and started to hang wall shelves. There were boxes everywhere. And mixed in with all of my regular scrapbooking stuff was gift wrapping supplies and boxes of Christmas decor that were in transition between coming out of storage, being unpacked, and being put back away until after the holiday.

It was time to take care of the state of disaster.
I finally picked up all of my paint brushes and returned them to the crown urn they belong in. I have paint brushes everywhere....

I cut apart all of my cut apart cards! I pulled out all of the sheets the last time I organized my patterned paper. I use them so much better when they are already cut apart! I can just flip through and grab whatever colour or style is needed for what I'm working on. I store some in a milk glass dish and the rest go into a box on a shelf for when I need to switch things up a bit.

My mom gave me an aqua Raskog cart from IKEA for Christmas.. and not only do I love it, but I love the way it looks beside my vintage turquoise typewriter!

Feels good to get things organized! I'm working at that too. :) Evie

I love the idea about cut apart sheets. I buy so many and use them so rarely...
