Hi guys!
On Task:
I cut apart felt flowers from Queen & Co floral felt and added buttons and brads to the center.
My Easter bonnet:
This one is called "Animal Cracker Easter" because Addie Blue was 10 months old for her first Easter... and the Easter Bunny left little baby animal crackers around the house for her. I handcut that title!

Easter, a mini album:
This mini album is made of different kinds of pages including fabric tulle. I also made lots of my own embellishments, like button flowers on white and some little paper eggs.
I listened to Tracie and Tiffany's Scrap Gals podcast this week, and was inspired by their topic to break out some of my Easter layouts and a mini album to share! Listening to them discuss holidays and scrapbooking made me realize that I have very few holidays scrapped! I knew I had done a *few* Easter pages, but I was surprised to see I had only two layouts and one mini album from all of the Easters we've celebrated as a family, and all those photos were from the same weekend!
I made a short video showing the projects, and posted photographs below. All of the mini album pages are under the jump, so you can click through if you want to see all of the details.. I just didn't to put another dozen images here in case you are sick of Easter eggs already!! :)
Scrapbooking holidays like Easter can be overwhelming because we tend to do very similar activities year after year... and the Scrap Gals are right -- how many egg dying pages do we really need? One way to avoid that redundancy is to look for little moments within the event... although the page below are about dying eggs, I focused on Addie Blue's style and attitude towards activities *like* colouring eggs... the journalling and title reflect that.

This is a two page 12x12 layout... with a mixed media background and some drawings and little paper piecings.

I think this grid patterned square came in a Scrapologie kit.. I loved those kits! I was on the design team for a while and made some of my all-time favourite pages during that time.

Whimsical hand cut and paper pieced trees. You can also see some stamping, rub-ons, watercolour, and artist crayon in the background. For some of my favourite mixed media products, see my store page

A couple of OLD layouts that I forgot to include in the video...
I kind of totally miss wallpapering backgrounds out of patterned paper like this! Remember when stamping in acrylic paint was hot?
