June 2014 Cocoa Daisy reveal: Boho

Hi everyone!
It's reveal day at Cocoa Daisy! June at Cocoa Daisy is all about Boho style... beautiful bold, vibrant colours, bright and  happy, like a sunny day in the garden.

Here is the kit tour... I have the main kit, the Day in the Life kit, Rosehip add-on, and the patterned paper add-on Patchwork. LOVE them all. I was especially taken by the DITL kit this month. :)

Now, for my layouts..

Addie Blue turns 10
I used the Heidi Swapp floral paper from the main kit Boho, as a background. I added in several cards from the Day in the Life kit and embellished them with little bits and pieces from the main kit and DITL kit.

I used lots of stitching on this layout.. such an easy thing to do and it adds a great bit of detail and finishing touch.

I normally shy away from black, but this kit made me embrace it as something new to try and  have fun with! I painted a black frame for around the photo, added in lots of messy black ink and mist on the background paper and layered in some black embellishments from the kit... foam splatters from the Thickers alpha sheets... a hashtag... epoxy hexies..
and  foam and epoxy splatters, too!

LOVE the ampersand stamp in the main kit this month.. so I had to turn it into a cut file. And I cut it A LOT. Love it. Remember, Cocoa Daisy cut files are included with your kit subscription!

Love sprinkling little bits around my layouts...

This is one of the awesome printables made by Martha, that come with your kit subscription!

The journalling was taken almost exactly from my Instagram post when I shared this photo of Addie Blue on the day of her 10th birthday.

Next up... brightly!
Again, I used lots of cards from the DITL kit... plus one left from my kit last month.. and one I made using the exclusive Cocoa Daisy cut files.

I love this gold glittery frame from the Rosehip add-on... and the ampersand cut from the subscriber cut files.. and the gold foil heart from the main kit, to just tie the pieces together.

A tiny bit of cut-off strip.

Assorted confetti pieces....epoxy stickers, sequins, and enamel dots.

I heat embossed the laurel wreath and ampersand stamps from the main kit using ZING black opaque embossing powder onto a plain shipping tag and then just tucked it part way under the photo. Love that little pink birdie on the exclusive Cocoa Daisy journalling card!

And last layout for today... They drew with chalk.
I started with that awesome WRMK splattered papers and added on lots of ampersands I cut with the exclusive CD cut files.

I spray painted one ampersand with gold paint and added it over a scrap of book page I found on my desk. The gold heart is a left-over from last month's Cocoa Daisy kit!

A bit of journalling.

Added some confetti and bow garland I made under the title.

I added one of the heart epoxy stickers from the main kit to a label sticker  (also from the main kit) and just stitched across. Such a simple way to create a nice little embellishment! The flair is from my Cocoa Daisy stash of past kits and the "once upon a time" card is just a little piece I made with ink and watercolour.

Sequin confetti + splatters = awesome.
