Earlier this month I wanted to make something... but felt totally overwhelmed. Layouts --12 by 12 or 8.5 by 11 -- weekly journals, art journals, mini albums, day in the life stuff. There are so many options and ways to scrapbook our memories now! Sometimes I spend so much time thinking about the *perfect* way to document moments and memories, I don't actually get anything done!
What happens if we choose the wrong thing, the wrong size, the wrong format?
I decided to just start making something. What would be the worst that could happen? I wouldn't like it? Maybe. But there's really no way it could be *wrong*. It did take me several days to convince myself of this, though.
I grabbed an old book, tore out the insides, and put a stack of Things That Shine kits and bits on my desk and just got started.Printed photos from the first weekend in June, that I had posted on Instagram. I made stuff. I typed. It's not done, but it's getting there. But, I'm glad I got started.
When in doubt.... make things. Just make it.
Plus, any excuse to use some washi tape is a good reason to scrap.
What do you do when you get stuck?
Do you ever just make it?
