I love shiny new things, and I love vintage things too. My newest Etsy kit, Vintage Spring, is a mix of just that.. new and old.... vintage and modern.... biology and storybook, and tied together with accents of gold.
I've pulled together a lovely assortment of vintage ephemera, bird images and embellishments, a stack of tags and some pretty gold bits. Everything here reminds me of the very first signs of spring, when the yard is brown but there's that little glimmer of green life just starting to show through.

I searched through my collection of vintage story books to find some sweet pieces about birds and spring. This illustrated poem is quite lovely! They don't write poetry for children like this any more...
Also included are reproductions of a page from the story "That Wicked Squirrel" which contains this lovely illustration of a bird family. There's also a vintage biology textbook reproduction of a pussy willow, and another story book illustration of a nesting bird.
Here are all the little bits laid out nicely together! A bird's eye view, you could even say... :)
