times three

I've been slowly working my way through my photos from last summer... and this is yet another one of my THREE girls outside together -- because then, there were only three. :) I didn't really have any ideas when I started with this photo... but I had this great rainbow assortment of papers from the August Cocoa Daisy kit, and I was looking through the CD gallery and found two rainbow-ific pages by some lovely Daisy ladies: Love You by sassiescrapper and Just a Good Ol' Boys by Darkchami... I decided to just go for it.

The arrangement of papers in the background was pretty much exactly how I'd laid them out when I first got the kit and saw how great they looked together. I just cut them apart, glued them to a piece of old paper I knew I wasn't going to use for anything else, and then stitched up the edges to give a little definition and interest.

I tried to sort of colour match the embellishments to the colour of patterned paper they were near... and I also tossed in quite a few metallic enamel dots, because they are awesome and metallics go with everything. :)

Messy date stamping! Great for the messy stamper, like me. :) Also added in a few circles punched from a scrap of paper, because this space was a little empty and the date-stamped label was looking lonely.

Lots of layering! A white ampersand, cut using the Cocoa Daisy cut files I designed to go with the July kits, plus some of the free printable labels that come with your kits when you are a subscriber! Love those navy blue Alphabean letters!

Metal heart. Love it.

For more inspiration, cool stuff, and generally just really nice stuff to look at,

Love this layout. Those alphabet papers looked a bit scary to me but they really work in small strips like this.
I've been using some of your old stash today! :)

I love how it's "rainbow" without looking all "rainbowish"! LOL! Beautiful page!
