things that shine: it's true

I love this photo of Summer Lily... I remember it so clearly, which is funny, because it was taken two years ago and wasn't any particularly special moment. I just remember her playing with Ruby Sky, who was just learning to crawl around and stand up. And Summer Lily just adored her (she still does). I I just loved her so much right at this moment.

It's true.

I started this page forever-ago, using the July kits from Cocoa Daisy. It was supposed to be for my Cocoa Daisy gallery that month, but I didn't get it done in time... and then I wasn't sure about it... and then I didn't finish it.. and then I did finish it during the July crop... but I had to fix the journalling.

It wasn't right, but it was just time to get it done. I don't think I'd ever finish a page if I didn't just force myself to call them done, at some point. It's true.

It's hard to see in this shot, unfortunately, but I stitched over the Crate Paper journalling card.

I always try to use a bit of cut-off strips in my projects. Here I folded a short piece in half over a paper clip, adhered it, and trimmed the edge with my then-new deckled edge decorative scissors. I've been looking for deckle-edge scissors FOR-EV-ER and finally found them at the dollar store. Awesomest 1.42 I've ever spent.

Isn't this happy little guy the cutest little sticker you've ever seen. It's pretty cute. It was from a sheet of stickers from October Afternoon's Daily Flash line.

I really loved these metallic enamel dots by My Mind's Eye!! These came in the August Cocoa Daisy kit and I was *thrilled* to get them, because I had resisted buying them, thinking I had enough enamel dots already and didn't need them. Oh boy, was I ever wrong -- I really did need them. I think I have one or two left. Love using up stuff I love. :)
