This page started out in a completely different direction, with a different photo... and this photo started out on a completely different page. And then I looked at this picture, and I just knew what had to happen. This:
I added in a few cards from my Cocoa Daisy stash, but most of the background of this page was made with cards from the October Day In the Life kit from Cocoa Daisy. The blue geometric card and the birch tree card are among my faves! I laid them out on some plain cardstock, and then stitched along the edges to create a patchwork feel.
This is Summer Lily, last year. She made chili for dinner, all by herself. She did a great job, too. :)
The leaves tucked behind the photo are the exclusive Cocoa Daisy subscriber cut files for October!
I cut apart one of the Day in the Life cards that had labels on it, and used on here (and a second one at the top of the layout). I made a little tag out of a scrap of paper and some green embroidery cotton.
