I usually use my Cocoa Daisy kits to scrapbook my photos from last year... I'm not quite caught up even though it's the end of the year, but I've put a really good-sized dent in 2013!! However, sometimes there's just something so nice about scrapbooking a current photo. So, that's what I did for this page.
Loved this Instagram of Evie Grey and Summer Lily last month, playing outside. It was a beautiful day and the girls all had a lot of fun outside. Sometimes I like to try to capture a period in our lives or an entire afternoon or day or phase or whatever, with just one photo and some journalling. I didn't need to use a whole host of photos from the entire afternoon to record what a nice day this was.
I layered up lots of Cocoa Daisy cut files for October for this page, including the hex flower background. I also added in some die cut pieces, and those great cork polka dot stickers.
(You can see here that my mixed media/watercolour pages do not lay flat at all! Oh well!)
I had no clue where to put the journaling, so I just stapled it on and called it done!
Pretty watercolour + fab cork stickers = awesome combo.
By the way, did you know the Cocoa Daisy daily planner is now available by subscription?

Ashley I really love this!!! Your hex shapes look so cool with all the watercolor. Loving all your layers behind the photo and how you trimmed the photo edges. Those cork circles are awesome too!!! :) Evie
