This one is about when SL started playing the clarinet... it was only just a bit more than two years ago, now, and I can't believe how young she looks. And what a BABY Ruby Sky is. Crazy what happens in two years.
This was all made using my December kits from Cocoa Daisy. The background was cut out of grey cardstock from the main kit (Monterey Bay), and I used one of the exclusive subscriber cut files to cut the plus signs out. AFTER I cut the plain cardstock, I washed it with a few layers of gesso, and white acrylic paint. Then I glued the whole thing to that cute heart patterned paper from the Napa add-on.
A bit of journalling.
I still love fair ribbons! I think I could use them on every page. I made these ones out of bits and pieces included in the December CD kits. The smaller one on the left is made with aqua cardstock + signs cut for another page, layered, with a flair button on top. The glittery tails are cardstock stickers in the Pacific Grove add-on; I often stick stickers to paper or cardstock, then cut them out! I know it seems crazy to un-sticky a sticker, and cut it out, and then glue it on, but I like that I can move them around this way (un-stickied), and that it gives a bit more dimension.
The second one is made from a die cut from the die cut pack in Pacific Grove, layered over the sunburst stamp in the main kit stamps! The tails are a piece of exclusive Cocoa Daisy paper (main kit, DITL kit), plus muslin from the DITL packaging, and a fabric acorn sticker from the Carmel add-on.

Yes, I'm loving the ribbons too...
..and the gesso, which is inspiring me to finally go out and buy some white: the one I have gives an odd yellow tone. Not good!
Lovely page
