The picture on this page is one I took the same day as the picture -- and about a dozen others, all almost identical -- on my page one on clarinet. But really, how many things can I say about the time she started playing the clarinet? But I sort of like this picture.. and then I realized... I like it because it's so her, even if it's just a tiny little bit of her. Because those fingers are exactly like her dad's! They are just the same. :)
I used my December Cocoa Daisy kits for this page... so many fun little bits, that I had fun layering! This was a super fast page!
I used one of the exclusive Cocoa Daisy subscriber cut files, and used it as a stencil, and misted the background. I used October Afternoon's Sprinkler from the Woodland Collection; the colour is Springs. One of my faves.
I really liked the vellum alphabets (included in the Carmel add-on). They sort of melt into the cardstock.. it's a cool effect.
Lots of layers! So many great bits here... DITL journalling card... kraft tag (main kit)... more journalling card (DITL)... more journalling card (DITL)... fabric sticker (Carmel add-on)... flower die cut (Pacific Grove add-on)... journalling card (DITL kit).. patterned paper (Napa add-on).. piece of the bag the DITL is packaged in... my own vintage tag.. tag from main kit.. cork house from DITL kit. I think this layout alone demonstrates how great the useful the DITL kit is -- even for a non-pocket page scrapper like me!
The Amy Tangerine Stitched rub-ons are so cute (DITL kit)... love that pink acorn. That cute cork house was from the DITL kit, too, and are also available separately as a set.
A bit of journalling.
