This layout started a very long time ago, based on an October Afternoon sketch by Jill Sprott. I didn't use one large photo, because I don't have large photos on hand or large photo printing capabilities at home. But the sketch was a great starting point to get me going, and I think that's the best thing about sketches!
For this page, I used some layering elements included in my paper heart kit.
The heart eyelet die cut paper is one of my cut files; the paper heart kit comes with a 6x6 version perfect for layering. I used a 12x12 version cut down a bit -- and saved the trimmed portion for another page!
I love October Afternoon flair, and die cuts! So cute. I thought this pair of birdies and "hello friend" banner was perfect for this photo of Evie G and our big boy kitty.
Love this stacked layering.. the old book pages, gold foil crepe paper, and gold foil tissue paper are all from my paper heart kit.
I admit, I'm not really happy with the journalling. It just isn't what I wanted it to be. I might need to rewrite it.
