A Happy Birthday layout

I loved the page I started based on Jill's October Afternoon sketch, that I had to do another! :) This time I used a picture of Ruby Sky on her birthday, with a plate of fluffy cupcakes in front of her.

The pieces behind the photo are all from my paper hearts kit -- gold foil vellum, exclusive die cut paper, paper banner, old book page, ruffled crepe paper and gold glitter polka dot stickers!

I love the way these gold glitter polka dot stickers look on the old book page. I think I'll have to use this idea again on another page! The exclusive heart eyelet paper behind the photo comes as a 6x6 piece in the paper hearts kit, and is also available to download as a digital cut file so you can cut your own. :)

This pretty gold glitter bow is also from the paper hearts kit.. and are also available in sets of five
I love that little pinecone charm! Pinecones have nothing to do with birthday cupcakes, but it's just so cute and sweet, it totally fit the page. This was originally included in my Keep Christmas kits, but if you order a paper hearts kit, you just might find one included. ;)

I raided my brad stash to find some cute ones to "pin" to the ruffled crepe paper tails hanging down behind the photo. This is one of my favourite ways to anchor small embellishments on a page. I used this technique on one of my all-time fave layouts -- the best of times.

Seriously in love with my script font typewriter!!!
