I started this mini album last year, around the middle of June 2014. It has sat, since then. One of my Calvinball goals was to finish this album, so I did. :)
I used an old book that I ripped the insides out of. The front cover had the author's name embossed in gold, and although it was very pretty, I decided to paint a stripe of gesso over it. I'll add a title to the front and/or spine, but don't have any ideas for that right now.
I used a set of Tim Holtz binder rings inside. The binder rings are attached to a sturdy piece of chipboard using some super duper glue dots, and also two pretty brads. Then I adhered the chipboard to the book spine using lots of glue. Not exactly professional book-binding techniques, but it seems to work. ;)
Since photographing this book I have come to realize that last June was the year 2014, not 2013. Another for the fix pile. ;)
Things That Shine kits.
I like the peek-a-boo effect of the layers, especially that silver foil label sticker on the left.
A little file folder from my ancient stash, holding some early June garden photos. I do love those white cloud stickers!!
Another pretty gold foil sticker on this page, layered with a gold glitter leaf.
The end. :)
