I started this page in March, during Calvinball at Get It Scrapped. I just finished it. So, when you hear me say that I'm the slowest scrapper, you now know it's really true. :)
I love this picture of Evie G when she was first learning to stand on those glorious legs; I posted it last year on Instagram.
I created the background using green patterned paper/solid cardstock, my confetti heart cut file, and gold spray paint. I cut out the confetti heart pattern (using plain white American Crafts cardstock, but any sturdy paper you can cut in your Cameo will work), and laid it over the solid mint green paper. I used gold spray paint and sprayed only on the middle portion of the top of the page. The fading effect happened naturally because of the spray effect of the paint (I think that's why they call it spray paint ;) )
Some of the Calvinball prompts this year included using a map pattern on your page; stamping; and using pre-20110 product. This little cluster took care of all three! I am still dearly in love with those awesome banner stickers; they were made by Making Memories.
The floral/leaf pattern running behind the photos like a flowy border is one of the pieces from my Clover and Luck digital cut file set. The bow is, too! I added chunky gold glitter to it, after it was cut out.
I used lots of little paper scraps to create layered borders at both the top and bottom edges of the pages. I tried to choose mostly neutral/blue shades, and varied the pattern size and style for interested. I even trimmed a few pieces with decorative edge scissors, just because scallops and pinking edges are awesome. :)
(I know this is upside down but it was honestly the only way I could take a picture of the layering at the top of the page)
